top of my head. I'm not surprised the offense has struggled. I expected it. I *hoped* we'd be further along, but I don't know what universe people are living in when they thought that it was going to be a cake-walk.
I guess what I'm surprised by is how surprised apparently the entire coaching staff was at how far along the offense was in fall camp. Ty certainly thought his players were capable of doing more than they were. By a long ways. And it's one thing for one coach to be fooled, but it looks like everybody on staff over-estimated. That was fatal for us this season.
That being said, I have a lot of confidence in this coaching staff and in Ty Detmer specifically. If fans and -- more importantly -- Kalani and Tom are patient with him, I think in 2-3 years we could have something going that gets pretty special. There's no doubt in my mind Ty will eventually be an unstoppable OC.
Yeah, I get we have the worst offense in the country, yaddah yaddah yaddah criticisms. But it's amazing to me how quickly many vocal fans on this board are turning on Ty. It's unreal. It makes no sense to me. It's like they think this is a video game or something.
