I trust the stats more than coachspeak

There are no hidden motives behind stats, there is behind coaches.  Many coaches have denied talking to a school, or being interested in a job, only to accept the job the next day.  There is a great variety of other coachspeak going on throughout college football.  So, even knowing what was happening (which Chow says de didn't) there is no guarantee that Chow was moving beyond coachspeak into honesty.

The stats are pretty clear.  Squally had 84 yards against a much better defense in Frenso St. just two weeks ago. We should have been feeding him the ball, and wearing down the defense.  Instead, he gets one touch in our first two series for a good gain of 5 yards, while we go 0-5 on passes and get a pick.  How can anyone spin that?

If Norm said we should punt every down would he be right simply because he is a formerly well-respected coach?

Go Cougs!!!!!!!!!
