Started at 229 and now at 185
I plan to lose at least 15 more.
5'9" and 51 years old. I haven't been this weight since high school.
My overall high was 260. Its insane how good I feel.
I started off slow. I can't tell you how many times I tried to take up less space. Started off:
1. Stop snacking: I love to eat. This was a brutal habit to break. Took about 2-3 weeks to feel comfortable.
2. Next was to get the diet in order. 5 small meals per day. All portioned and meal prepped. Getting my wife on board was not easy. I think she eventually gave up on me eating meals. Family is supportive but to be honest, meal types have not changed to fit into my program. That's ok. I just eat different food.
3. Started my gym time about the same time as the meal prepping. Lift 5 days per week. I follow Kris Gethin's programs. They are intense and free online. Kaged Muscle has them on their site. Cardio 5-6 days per week.
