History.
Even Kevin Feterik improved a ton as a Senior.

Why do you discount this so quickly? Across college football, you see senior QB's have big seasons, especially those with multiple seasons before that as a starter.

Sarkisian = Pedestrian in 1995 to phenomenal in 1996.

Feterik = Bad to decent in his first 3 seasons, much better as a senior.

Doman = Invisible till his Sr year.

John Beck = Pretty good numbers as a frosh to Junior. Great as a Senior.

*** Again, tough to expect history to not repeat itself. Couple that with the fact that Max Hall's performance was really not that bad last year. Even if he repeates his numbers from last season, that is pretty danged good.

I'd expect Utah would rather go to battle this season with Max Hall than any guy they have at this point. And to repeat what Bengal said, you are no BYU fan.
