It is an impressive stat. BYU, when they have a Senior QB, has won the conf. title since 1980.

That is big. One potentially counter acting stat is that BYU after winning 10 or more games in three consecutive season, has never won more than 8 games in the 4th season.

Both are about as relevant as the other in this situation.

Hall has gained very important experience and is good to begin with.

BYU plays a very tough schedule. OU, FSU, TCU and Utah. All of whom have very good defense. FSU was ranked #15 last season on defense and retun 9 starters on that side of the ball. TCU and Utah will be very good on "D" again. Utah will likely have the offense worked out by the end of the season. They generally do. Even though they are a defense first program.

Should be interesting this season. With the personell losses and not real stars to fill in, I do wonder if the BYU faithful, are sliding down the same path of over-expectation for the 09' season. Huge defensive questions and lack of depth on that side of the ball. Offense, BYU loses the best wideout in school history along with another solid threat in Reed. M. Jacobs has hamstring issues as well.

Coaching is another issue all together. (now that is a sacred cow not to be talked about by a Utah fan. Block me if you want. It is true)
