Get used to it. CB won't tolerate objective
commentary about any of the BYU players.

I have "ute" in my name. I am not trying to hide that I am a Utah fan but I also like BYU, as I am an active member, etc. I like to stay on top of what is going on with the BYU team. Partly out of genuine interest. I have many BYU faithful as friends. And, partly, because I want to keep up on my rival. There are many cougarboard folks on the Utah site as well. I am not unique in this regard.

I have tried to have the same kind of objective discussions. Nobody wants to hear it on CB.

If you want objectivity, go to Utefans.net. Utah has concerns about our QB situation and don't make any bones about having a discussion about it.

Now to Hall...

Hall is very good, but has some skills to work on. I personally believe they are mental in nature. Physically, Hall has the skills to be a great QB, except hight. He is tall enough, however.

Hall had 13 turnovers to one TD pass against the three best teams they played last season. Yes, he has somethings to work on.

He keys on receivers, he throws into double coverage, he does not run through progressions, he fumbles, etc. He knows this and has verbally acknowleged it. He is working on it so there should be improvement. He is also a senior and nothing is a substitute for experience. Hall has faced challenges and has likely grown from the experiences and may have a break out season as a result.

He will be forced to distribute the ball - except for to Pitta - and the line should be adequate but may struggle early on. They get tested early and often in 09'. OU, FSU and then settle into an easier run before they meet TCU and Utah.

However, with a new O line, who, initially, may not provide enough time, and a rookie receiveing corp., I believe there is plenty to be worried about. Especially early.
