For the record I think you're right. However there is a small minority of fans of BYU and even here on CB that would rather BYU stay independent and have them play "non-BCS" teams so long as they get to see it for free on BYUTV than have BYU play in a BCS conference and have a large chunk of their games be on a tier of cable they have to pay for.

Meaning they don't care who BYU plays, they just want to see BYU on TV for free.
