From what I understand Fox's agreement with the BigXII was that there had to be a 72 hour period after a game before rebroadcast rights. When they were talking about the Longhorn network last summer this issue was addressed by the media and that was what they said the agreement was. Problem was BYU thought they were in a stronger position then they were in and they quit negotiating on the 72 hour time and insisted that they could rebroadcast earlier then that. Essentially BYU stopped negotiating on the issue so the BigXII gets a new commish and he says "what? We will see about that and instead invited TCU."
