...problem was 90% of recruiting was too much of a drudgery to him. He's had some real recruiting wins with kids that he just connected with (KVN comes to mind) and he went the distance with them to get them here, too many others he just blew off and felt they should be recruiting him. He loved recruiting LB's and Safeties. If he had the same love for recruiting other position groups (like the OL), as he had with the LB's and Safeties, he wouldn't have struggled his last several seasons on the field.
