The same site reports there are over 1,000 schools who reported less...

and more than 800 schools who reported less crime per thousand students.

I think BYU is probably one of the "safest" campuses in the country. In the sense that there is probably very little theft, underage possession, etc. However, these numbers seem quite unreliable. Also, in general Salt Lake is a very safe city. I hardly think anyone should decide to not go to Utah due to crime/safety issues. Are there plenty of other reasons to not go there? Sure. But I don't think crime is one of them.

Most Universities don't contract with apartment owners to provide housing. Take the morality thing out of the equation
