No they don't. This is why BYU is different and everyone is aware of that. BYU does everything they can to control the
student housing environment.

FYI, I am a proponent of BYU getting out of the housing business. It creates lots of unfair and non-market issues. I'm surprised there haven't been more lawsuits with the monopoly that BYU housing creates. I'm for adults to police themselves for the most part and if they have issues, let them use the legal system and not the BYU housing board (HC office) to resolve the disputes.

However, I think that when someone signs a contract agreeing to certain terms, they shouldn't get their panties in a wad when someone else in the apartment expects them to live by the contract they all signed.
