Resorting to using tragedies or crime statistics to talk smack, for one.
If you have enough hate for a football team or school that you can't keep banter lighthearted and fun and cross into the ugly side of things, like you did above, you probably need to take a step back from the rivalry.
FTR, I couldn't disagree with you more about the area around the Utah campus. My parents live just south of it, and any time I take my kids up there to visit them we never feel unsafe. And your statement that people are putting bars on their windows all around is ridiculous and not even close to true.
