We're certainly not. We're in some weird limbo land somewhere between G5 and P5
We have better funds and facilities than virtually every other G5 team in the country. We have strong recruiting advantages (with some disadvantages) relative to most G5 teams. That means with the right leadership, we should put a product on the field that beats G5 programs the vast majority of the time.

We're not a P5 program. All the other P5 programs, other than a handful of lower-tier programs, have better money than BYU and generally have significant recruiting advantages over BYU. We should be competitive with lower-tier P5 programs, but I don't expect to beat top P5 teams regularly.

I'm not some unreasonable BYU fan. I understand what BYU is and isn't. I just don't see, from an outsider's perspective, what Sitake's plan is for BYU as a program. Without a defined plan, he can't lead his players to execute that plan because the plan doesn't exist.

He's in his 4th year and is our highest paid coach in BYU history. He should be able to tell fans who are spending money on supporting the program what his plan is for the team and how he expects the program to improve and be successful. I get zero of that from him.
