...in 2019 Romney was more accurate on throws behind the LOS (93.8% to 75% completion rates) but Hall was more accurate on any throw beyond the LOS (69.4% to 60%). The further down the field the throw the more glaring the advantage was for Hall, much higher passing grade, more throws into tight windows, fewer turnover worthy plays, etc.
I think the description of game manager is an accurate one for Romney and he really excels at it. Maybe posters mean it as a criticism but really there's nothing wrong with it. Steve Young said Baylor's real talent is in his ability to execute the play that the OC calls. Isn't that in essence the quality of a game manager? Romney is better under pressure, makes quicker decisions, avoids sacks better, lets his playmakers make plays, he's smart, etc. Great attributes for a QB.
