Jarom has a stronger arm & is a better athlete. But Baylor has a more accurate arm & is not a bad athlete at all (though acute turf toe kept him from showing it two years ago).
Those sort of differences hardly shake out into a neat dichotomy Manager vs Playmaker. If there's an honest dichotomy distinguishing those two young players, those two words certainly don't capture what I witnessed two years ago.
Incidentally, I will be happy with either guy at the helm (or Conover). I trust the coaches will choose the strongest overall candidate.
