The worst part of “analytics” is misinterpretation/misapplication.

BYU’s defensive performance over the last 3-4 years is clearly an example of this. In my own professional experience, I’ve witnessed a lot of bad business decisions that were made based on analytics, because the true context/understanding was missing.

Analytics just don’t work in football. It’s a lot different than baseball or BB.

On Drop 8, it actually WOULD have worked IF we had been better in 3rd and long

They had those percentages because Drop 8 gets no pressure on the QB
