Here's a simple fact about why offenses end up making mistakes:

Defenses put pressure on the QB and the OL. Because of that, one of them eventually screws up. When you are dumb enough to drop 8 90%+ of the time, the chances of either the QB or the OL making a mistake drop 90%+. Hence the reason analytics in a vacuum suck, just like Tuiaki/Sitake's defense.
