On Drop 8, it actually WOULD have worked IF we had been better in 3rd and long

Teams made plenty of mistakes this year and got into ‘third and double sticks’ multiple times per game. The problem is they converted the same percentage on third and long as they did on third and short or third and medium…which was way too high.

Analytics just don’t work in football. It’s a lot different than baseball or BB.

They had those percentages because Drop 8 gets no pressure on the QB
