got really down on their appearance and how the fit in socially. It was odd in my mind as a male, but I think that is the age their bodies start changing and they have the first taste of hormones? I am not sure, but some girls get mean, but my daughters sort of just got down. It passed with time. My daughters didn't have phones then either, but I think social media makes this worse. What helped with my daughters was to get them active and doing something they like. For them, it was swimming and just getting through school. Over time it got better.
