This. I couldn’t be more agreeing and believing in this. I truly believe that
physical activity. Really hard physical activity that really pushes your mind and body. Whatever it is. Is gods gift for so many mental and emotional ailments and hardships. Along with just good old fashioned hard work.

If his daughter, or anyone of us or our loved ones do this, and STILL are really struggling with depression, then in my opinion you know with 99% confidence that meds are needed and it’s a very serious illness. My brother is a good example of this. He runs triathlons and has actually even won some, and he still needs depression meds because his brain just sadly can’t function properly. There is no difference than if he had a heart condition or whatever that needed meds to heal or manage.

The worrisome thing is that when it’s that bad, what happens when life, aging, injuries, or whatever take the ability to do the physical things you need/want to cope with stress/depression/anxiety etc? What do you do then?

I think this happen more than we realize to people.
