This. He has already missed out on 2 years of a (likely) 10-12 pro year career.
You only get so many years to play professional basketball. Its not like an accountant where 2 years are meaningless in the grand scheme of things. He has a limited income window playing ball, so he might as well go for it now.

Those guys drafted in this year's draft will still be around, however, as will next year's. It only gets more difficult.
