coaching is different than playing. how many of the "greats" are even successful coaches?
it's not playing. it's about communication and talent in the coaching realm. he wasn't calling the plays. he wasn't coaching anyone. many times it's hard for people to communicate things that were so easy for them, to other people.
think of the best coaches today. what did they do in the nfl? heck, what did they do in college?
