Did Frank Jackson go pro because the fans put so much pressure on Duke to win. He figured if he was going to have that much pressure to win he should go pro? He did not want to win too much only to still have pressure to win it all? Sounds silly......

I don't buy either. Maybe fans "being mean" played 0.1% into Mika's thought process, but I highly doubt Mika was scared off by what silly fans say. He would have fans saying stupid things regardless of the program. BYU is tame compared to most, unless he want to complete lower tier school where no one cares about bball.

My guess it is a combo of: he does not see upside staying another year, he is already old, he does not see BYU doing considerably better next year, risk of injury, perhaps lack of faith in the coaching staff, desire to play in the NBA, if he not going to improve much he may as well get paid, he is married thus his social life is not maximized in the college experience.......etc etc, all above "fans are too harsh so I am out".
