A job loss or unexpected medical expense can cause people to want to trim
their budget when they thought they would be fine. We were in that situation and was really the main catalyst to cut the cord. We had to pay hundreds of dollars to cancel in the middle of the contract, but we had to do it to save money in the long run because our financial situation wasn't going to improve quickly. If we had a no contract deal, we could've dropped the package without any cancellation fees.

Dish does have the best options for streaming on other devices (and away from home) of the traditional offerings.
