Our major sports are in obvious and irreversible decline.

The pace is must faster than most of us thought. It is a crying shame.

Puts a rock in the stomach of fans, but must be agony for our coaches and admin. Everyone knows it and no level of effort will make up for it. Must be deflating for those closest.

What can be done about it?

Only a major upgrade in conference affiliation will shock this back into balance. Or, massive church investment. (Won’t happen...so, the depression gets deeper from here).

Expectation gap will widen, as will funding and attendance gaps.

We missed our shot. Someone should be held accountable for not parlaying into a decent conference when we had strength and leverage.

Our leaders sat on prideful arrogance when we should have been showing the opposite. Our leaders should have had more strategic and geopolitical insight.

They chose a path that is now leading to the worst case scenario.

If we would have placated the B12 (even with disadvantaged terms), we would be in a much better position today.

We are turning into the equivalent of the branch dividians.
