Utah being in all the way is the myth. Think about it, the Pac10 invited Colorado first but NOT Utah? If Utah was in all the say why wait until AFTER the dust settled to then invite Utah? Why not invite them at the same time as Colorado? I'm pretty certain with how desperate utah officials were in the media up to that point that it wasn't a case of Utah holding out or playing hard to get.

With the exorbitant amount of press Utah had been putting out begging for an invite, if they were a part of the plan, like Colorado, Texas, OK, and the other Big12 schools were then they would've gotten an invite at the same time. The fact that you didn't get the invite until after the Pac12 got burned by Texas and OK spells it out crystal clear.
