More no than yes regarding the defense...

...it wasn’t the offense that made the defense punchless and unable to pressure the QB. It wasn’t the offense that made the defense unable to get any turnovers. It wasn’t the offense that made the defense unable to get 3rd down stops and get off the field. Yes, the offense didn’t do anything to help the D but the D was very ineffective in its own right without any assistance from the O.
