It seemed kind of necessary to be able to get his hands up to catch the ball. If
he doesn't push a little bit, it was most likely a PI on the defender, though I'm not sure the officials would have called that.
The whole sequence was called correctly, IMO. No offensive PI, and he was bobbling it so it was ultimately incomplete.
