I'd recommend going back and watching it again. The ball clearly pops out when

it first hits his hands. Only when he turns his body does he appear to securely have both hands on the ball, but by the time he's going down to the ground it's moving again. Of course, that's when it hits the ground. I don't see that as rearranging the ball, he was fumbling to catch it all the way until he hit the ground. Never really secured it which is why it was ruled an incomplete catch.
