Why do BYU alumni always assume that
Those of who didn’t go to BYU tried, but couldn’t get in?!? It has absolutely nothing to do with that at all. This is part of the arrogance many have mentioned.
I remember the day that I sat down with my dad, a lifelong BYU fan, and told him that I had picked another school. It was tough because he loved BYU, but he got it.
I used to think that the thing for a highly-rated, football-playing, member of the church to was to play at BYU, just to “represent.” Now, I don’t know that I agree with that anymore.
