Graduated in 79. Will always love BYU because of the spirit that is there. Went to two other schools for graduate work but they weren't and never will be BYU.
My children applied but ended up at Ricks and BYU Hawaii and BYU Idaho and UVU. They don't hate BYU for not getting accepted.
We still follow all BYU sports, even if its Women's Rugby in a wet Canby Oregon field, we're gonna try to go and support. Or indoor track at the University of Washington or Football at University of Oregon or even gymnastics at the Oregon State University we'll go there too. Tennis, swimming, basketball, football, golf ... doesn't matter if its BYU and they've come close to where we lived, we are all in... as finances allowed.
BYU has great students and great student athletes who try their best to represent the school and the Church. Even the non-member athletes try to do good and be nice because they're representing the BYU.
That's a good thing...
