My BiL didn't listen, and has a great job/house/family. But I hate that attitude
Trust me, I know plenty of BYU grads who have done nothing with their degrees, let alone lives. And having realized what Utah students face trying to get in, being at BYU should give everyone a dose of humility.
Anther BiL did their Associates at UVU, and transferred to BYU just for three semesters to power through their major. I think that was really smart, since the total cost was lower and the GPA was higher.
College, like life, is what you make of it.
