My name is that because I feel like this whole board is one huge Pessimist frenzy. We often forget that this is BYU!

1) We don’t pay our staff anything or coaches. It was reported that Kalani makes UP TO 1.5 mil a year. Which puts his pay just behind What North Texas pays theirs. That would put our rank according to USA Today around 67 I believe.

2) we have athletes that go away from a sport for two years and don’t get to exercise as they should.

3) Honor code. Plus some the other of weird rules they have. Makes it hard for non-lds recruits to come here.

4) College Football has turned into an enormous arms race the day Nick Saban took the job at Bama. Salaries, facilities, support staff, analysts. We lag behind a lot of schools.

5) I grew up watching BYU Football in the Legacy seats. I grew up going to AF games, UNLV, San Diego, the atmosphere at the ND stadium was awesome.

I know what BYU is and will be a die hard fan till the day I die. However, I am also a realist. Until the BOT starts paying and supporting BYU like a Top 25 or 30s team we are in a predicament. I think we got very very lucky with coaches like Bronco and LaVell.
