First, not getting into the Big 12 was a disaster. I cannot say that enough.

Second, Our money in Independence is better than any G5. That sucks, because that'll be the main reason Holmoe justifies this ongoing disaster known as Independence

Third, even if we had all of our scheduled P5 games AND were in a conference, we'd come up short. Why? BYU never runs up the score. We dont have a killer instinct. We wont be dominant every year but when we are, we never show it. Being in a G5 without showing off how much better you are is essentially an act of futility.

BYU in '96 caused the BCS, and BYU's success in the MWC subsequently caused the CFP. Now BYU isn't the only school to be challenging the system. However, the anti-Mormon hatred is real and is going to continue to spurn BYU.

These self imposed obstacles, as well as other challenges are going to produce 6-6 to 8-4 seasons forever 🙁
