Buys a wrangler and it never goes off pavement, and that's in Utah. It's worse in other states. But the image matters. If you went to Moab during Land Rover week your see brand new D5s (I don't like them personally) and range rovers on Poison Spider.

It's good other makes are offering suvs with proper gearboxes. They will eventually go off road. Heck, the Lexus GX is an overlanding cult hit, and highly sought after. I would have never guessed until I started looking into them
