I don't disagree with your point

Most people buy SUVs - and Jeep Wranglers - so they can have the SUV "image" as they do tasks that could be done better by an Accord.

The premium people will pay for the extremely limited off-road capabilities of a car like this just don't make sense to me, but that's me. I know that manufacturers sell a ton of them, and make HUGE margins doing so.

GLS is the same platform as the WK2 grand Cherokee, I can't remember if the current gls has a low range.
