Honest answer about schedules
Many, many MDs and CDC personnel will admit that part of the schedule is convenience and capture rate. You could spread them all out and still get the proper protection, but then you’d be asking moms to come in at an irregular interval and ask them to give their kids shots twice as many times and cause twice as much needle trauma.

OP doesn’t understand that part. CDC found no significant difference in effectiveness or safety and an increase in compliance(and therefore immunity and safety) with the clustered meathod.

A good peds doc will know this. Ours discussed the spread out approach and we chose the clustered approach but we did think about it a bit.

He needs to remember the goal of the CDC is to do what’s best for the population. Or at least make recommendations that will have the greatest positive impact.
