I don’t believe it is written anywhere, but I heard from 3

different people close to the situation that Kyle was having a really difficult time deciding whether to accept the BYU job. He actually got to the point where he was going to accept, but started having second thoughts and consulted with a number of people, including President Oaks. President Oaks told him he could probably do more good at Utah. Again, I heard this second hand, but it has come from three different people.
