As a UU fan, I can see how this puts you in a tough spot...
... because you have two main UU fan talking points that seem to be conflicting in this case, and there's no good way to reconcile them.
On the one hand:
1. Any player who goes to BYU is no good.
But on the other hand:
2. Any bench warmer at a P5 school would be starter at a *mid-major like BYU.
It's a difficult decision, but in this instance I think you made the right choice. The Ute Twitter mob would be proud.

1-3 exceptions per year should be guaranteed. It's not a big deal. BYU needs athletes to truly gain exposure.

BYU is only considered somewhat "normal" due to what the football and basketball teams have done/do. It's a no brainer.
