Nobody’s suggesting BYU admit an illiterate.
We’re talking about a kid who has done his part - he’s graduated from an SEC university with a degree. He accomplished that while playing football.

I don’t care if he finished with a C- average - BYU definitely SHOULD make exceptions as necessary to get him admitted. This is where I’d expect Worthen or Richardson to step in and compel the graduate program administrator to make it happen. They could easily do this.

Denying a double minority who would undoubtedly be accepted at any other university - please tell me how that would make BYU look!

BYU is already viewed as discriminatory toward minorities and gays, do they really need to throw more fuel on that fire?

I’d also argue BYU would be a better place if it were more diverse. And this particular student WANTS to be there.

This isn’t that hard.
