constantly amazes me at how overly protective parents are and what a small grasp they have of what their son/daughter was getting into by seeking a service academy appointment. It's the military for crying out loud; it is not your ordinary college experience and not a place to coddle a child

The same is true of D1 sports. Too many prima donnas.
