We had a PG on my son's school bball team that was fairly athletic but was very sloppy with the ball and took really bad shots all the time. Rather than run their offense he liked to showcase his (*cough*) "handles" and try to beat his defender off the dribble. Usually this ended up in his dribbling the ball off the back of his heel, off the side of his foot, he'd get doubled and turn it over or he'd take a fadeaway 3 from about 25 ft. He averaged 8 turnovers a game and yet you could hear his Dad screaming from the bleachers if he ever passed the ball. "Take the shot! Take the shot!" (the team won 3 games all year)
