I'm not trying to pretend that Detmer wasn't entirely blameless but having experienced assistants, especially ones that had been OC's at a lower level like Grimes now has, would have gone a looooong way in having a much better offense.

Steve Young admitted that he worked with Holmoe to get Detmer as coach.... That was a Tom Holmoe hire, not Sitake hire
