and if Wisconsin would had beat BYU, they would had been 9-4 and likely ranked
in the top 25 just like Northwestern. And if Utah would had beat Northwestern, then Northwestern would not had been ranked at all. If Wisconsin beat BYU and Northwesten beat Utah, then their rankings would likely be completely reversed.
One could make a strong argument that beating Wisconsin at home was bigger than if they would had beat Northwestern at a bowl.
