Sure losing 2 games to close out the season wasn't great, but no one outside of
Provo is calling it a bad ending. Winning the South was huge and made last year arguably Utah's most successful season in the Pac-12. Especially considering that Utah won 2 must win games without their 2 most important offensive players out, and barely lost in the conference championship.
The whole point of the schedule thing is that BYU fans talk as if Utah had a cakewalk to the conference championship and that just isn't the case. Harder route than anyone that played in a conference championship.
