Independence sucks... it does nothing for the program...
We've not improved anywhere since becoming Independent... we were a much better team in a conference than we've ever been as an Independent.
- Fan interest is down
- Recruiting has gotten worse
- We literally had a coach bail, and 1 factor was due to us being Independent and he has said as much.
- We were a top 3 team in the MWC, and now we can barely compete with the middle pack of G5 teams.
- We have to redefine what is successful, that nobody in the country gives a rats behind about.
- The AAC teams have beaten far more impressive P5's than we have.
- Player motivation is down
Bronco literally talked about having to be creative about motivating players because there isn't a conference championship to play for....
Just cause you get to see Wisconsin drub us at home doesn't make Independence even a good quality. If the AAC sucks... guess what... so does Independence. The AAC offers us 2 things more than we currently get now... access to a conference championship and NYD Bowls. But no... we have to pretend that bowls suck, even though the rest of the country disagrees with us... but BYU is the standard now.... everyone is dying to be in our position cause we get to play 4 to 6 P5 games that don't matter at all. Awesome... so fun.
Oh... but hold on... we are facing Western Michigan in a bowl game in Boise... So much better than the AAC.
Simply put... we suck... we can't even beat USU now... MAC teams are beating us... UMASS freaking beat us... but the AAC sucks... yep. Independence is such garbage.
