...Trump finally quit trying to work with Congress to address problems at the border and has done an end around dealing with the Mexican President directly. As a result for the first time in my lifetime they are finally policing the border at the southern end of Mexico to choke off the stream of illegals coming from Central America passing through Mexico to get to America. They've posted 6500 troops there and 15000 at our southern border to stem that tide. They also are going to become the sanctuary country for those seeking asylum preventing them from fraudently exploiting and manipulating our asylum laws to gain access.
This alone will be have a huge impact on our country. California right now has 20% of the welfare recipients in the US living in their state and also 20% of the homeless. The middle class in CA are drowning right now in high taxes (some of the worst in the US) and they've been losing millions of hardworking tax paying middle class who can't afford to live there any more. Illegal immigrant population in the US is about 1 in 30 of the general population while the number incarcerated in Federal prisons is about 1 in 5. Hugely disproportionate and DOJ statistics say they're 45% more likely to join violent gangs. also according to the Center for Immigration Studies despite only totalling 11% of the US population they account for:
42.4 percent of kidnapping convictions;
31.5 percent of drug convictions;
22.9 percent of money laundering convictions;
13.4 percent of administration of justice offenses (e.g. witness tampering, obstruction, and contempt);
17.8 percent of economic crimes (e.g. larceny, embezzlement, and fraud);
13 percent of other convictions (e.g. bribery, civil rights, environmental, and prison offenses); and
12.8 percent of auto thefts.
and 90% of the heroin in the US comes from Mexico.
Securing our Southern Border and getting back in control of the immigration process will have a HUGE long-term impact on not just drowning states like California (America's first 3 World State) but on the country itself.
