Rampant homelessness, 20% of poverty in US exists in CA. Feces on the streets...
...rat population exploding, old diseases once thought extinct now resurfacing there (ie, Typhus), dirty needles lying on the ground everywhere. California cities like LA and San Francisco are paralyzed to respond to these humanitarian crises and the state does not have the money to address it. They raised their gasoline tax a total of 18 cents in the past year and will likely be finding new ways to raise taxes on their middle class to close the gap.
