another reason Trump is a great president: his takedown of CNN and the fake news
...media. This was a long time in the making but in one short year Trump exposed them and their propagandist narratives helping to make the phrase "fake news" synonymous with mainstream liberal media propaganda machines like CNN, MSNBC, NYT, etc. As a result of Trump,
CNN has fallen 41% in the ratings among viewers 25-54, the demographic most coveted by national advertisers and during prime time news viewing they draw 1/4 the number of eyeballs as Fox News. They don't even have one of their shows in the top 25 highest rated programs for news.
Trump is a strong dude to take on the anti-American, Leftist Mass Media machine and bring them down. As a result of his pulling back the curtain and exposing them to be fake news outlets, Seventy-two percent of Americans believe "traditional major news sources report news they know to be fake, false, or purposely misleading. This is a huge increase from a few years ago. When people were asked why they don’t trust the media, about 45 percent referred to things like inaccuracy, bias, “fake news,” and “alternative facts,” the latter two being common descriptions given by Donald Trump and members of his administration. A general lack of credibility and the fact that reports are “based on opinions or emotions” are two of the other reasons given for a loss of trust. About 10 percent of those surveyed also mentioned sensationalism, “clickbait,” or hype as a negative factor. Its also interesting to note, twice as many young adults (18 to 34) as older respondents said politically focused coverage or partisan bias was a factor in their lack of trust.
The liberal media has run unabated for decades after abandoning age old principles and ethics for fairness and accuracy in reporting back during the rise of cable TV. That avenue of brainwashing is now over. Next avenue of brainwashing Trump needs to tackle and fix is the brainwashing that goes on in our (*cough*) "institutions of higher learning".
