I completely agree with this. We are all, of course familiar with the events of
that game. And key in-game injuries WILL ALWAYS trump well-before-the-game key injuries. And we all saw it. Yes, there were other things in that game that happened, before and after, of course, but the fact is that Utah looked horrible until some of our key players started getting injured from playing their players. And the fact that they didn't look horrible afterwards is more of a credit to BYU than it is to Utah. While of course no one can say for certain that we would have won that game, I can say that it is as certain as you can be that this was THE BIGGEST FACTOR in the loss. Given how ahead BYU was before the game started going Utah's way it also shows that even without the absence of Utah's "star" RB and QB BYU would have been a clear contender in that game.

And another thing, Utah fans will always argue that BYU doesn't deserve to have won, been close to winning, or sometimes even have been on the same field as their holy grail Utah team. But they argue this because they have little brother syndrome. It's been like this for as long as I can recall. I know that many will disagree with me. I totally get not feeling that way, especially lately. But looking at our athletic programs overall and the fact that Utah is more defined by their association with their conference than the other way around.

Here's looking forward to the game being at the beginning of the season. Can't wait! GO COUGS!
